- 12 oz ziti pasta
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 15 oz whole milk ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook ziti pasta in salted boiling water until al dente (about 8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese with half of the mozzarella and Parmesan. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; mix well.
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce in a baking dish. Layer half of the cooked ziti, followed by half of the ricotta mixture.
- Repeat layers with remaining marinara, ziti, and ricotta mixture. Top with remaining marinara and mozzarella.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
