  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix granulated and brown sugar with vegetable oil. Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients until just mixed; do not overmix.
  5. Chill dough for 30 minutes. Roll tablespoon-sized portions into balls and coat them in powdered sugar.
  6. Place on prepared baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes until slightly cracked.
