  • 1 lb boneless ribeye steak
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 cup jasmine rice
  • 1 cup bell peppers (sliced)
  • 2 green onions (sliced)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 inch fresh ginger root (grated)
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse jasmine rice under cold water until clear. Combine with 2 cups of water in a pot over medium heat. Bring to a boil, cover, and reduce heat to low; simmer for 15 minutes.
  2. Slice ribeye steak against the grain into thin strips. In a bowl, mix with teriyaki sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Marinate for at least 20 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté bell peppers for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp; set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, cook marinated steak strips for about 5-7 minutes until browned.
  5. Assemble bowls starting with jasmine rice, topped with sautéed peppers and cooked steak. Drizzle with additional teriyaki sauce if desired.
  6. Garnish with green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
