- 2 large navel oranges (zest and juice)
- 1 cup granulated sugar

- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Rinse the cranberries under cool water. Zest and juice the oranges, and grate the ginger.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine cranberries, orange juice, orange zest, grated ginger, sugar, and water. Stir well.
- Increase the heat to high until the mixture simmers (look for soft popping sounds from the cranberries).
- Add the cinnamon stick, reduce heat to low, and simmer uncovered for 10-15 minutes until cranberries soften.
- Remove from heat, discard the cinnamon stick, and let cool slightly before transferring to a bowl. Refrigerate until serving.
